Three men have been arrested after more than £1m worth of drugs have been seized in Lincolnshire.
Police found several hundred kilos of cannabis and a significant quantity of heroin after stopping two lorries, one in the Spalding area in Lincolnshire and another in Cambridgeshire.
A 47-year-old man, a 48-year-old man and a 51-year-old man have been arrested in connection with the incident on February 5. They are currently helping police with their enquiries.
Lincolnshire Police worked on the intelligence led operation in partnership with the Serious and Organised Crime Agency and the East Midlands and Eastern Region Special Operations Units, along with support from Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire Road Policing Units.
Assistant Chief Constable, Roger Bannister said: “We are committed to tackling serious and organised crime and the distribution of drugs here in Lincolnshire and across the East Midlands.
"This type of operation really shows the benefit of regional collaboration in terms of pooling resources and sharing intelligence.
"As a result a significant amount of class A and B drugs have been taken off the streets and will now be destroyed."
