Alan Power believes the holy grail of back-to-back victories will inspire Lincoln City to end their frustrating season on a high.
The Imps host play-off chasing Kidderminster Harries today (3pm) aiming to secure two victories in a row for the first time since the heady days of their flying start to the season in August.
Midfielder Power says last Saturday’s enthralling 4-3 victory at Hyde FC has created a feel-good factor among the players, who are ready to take that into today’s clash with Andy Thorn’s Kiddy.
“Everybody was buzzing after the (Hyde) game, and the fans were brilliant too. The way everyone celebrated showed what it meant to us,” said Power.
“It was a must-win game and the way we got the win was brilliant.
“I’ve always maintained that we are mentally strong and are a good team, but we haven’t clicked this season as much as we’d have liked.
“But when we do win games, we win them in a good manner and we’re capable of picking up more victories before the end of the season.
“There’s always a team that has a late push towards the end of the season, and we’re hoping that’s going to be us. Hopefully we can pick up a run of wins. We’re certainly due them.
“Everybody in our position would be looking over their shoulder still and we’re not going to rest on our laurels.
“But if we can win a couple of games, we fancy ourselves to push on. If we beat Kidderminster, it will pick everybody up.”
