Classic motorcycle racer Alan Smallbones has returned from a successful weekend at the Belgian Classic TT.

On the closed public road circuit at Gedinne in the south of the Ardennes Forest, the Branston-based rider won the 250cc classic road race championship of Belgium with a fine win on his 1965 Ducati in the last race of the series.

The championship was decided with an out-braking manoeuvre on the last corner to take the victory by just 0.3 of a second and the title by one point.
