UPDATE: John Pilger is now unable to attend on December 10.

Award-winning journalists will share their wisdom at a series of free lectures at the University of Lincoln.

War correspondent John Pilger, Channel 4's Dorothy Byrne and eminent press photographer Dr Mike Maloney are among those confirmed for the university's Journalists Speak Out on Journalism series.

Ms Byrne, head of Channel 4's news and current affairs, will be joined by Paris-born freelance journalist Nabila Ramdani on October 29 for a lecture entitled Reporting the Arab Spring, in the Co-op lecture theatre.

Mr Pilger, who was chief foreign correspondent at the Daily Mirror and has reported from all over the world, will be in conversation with acting head of the university's school of journalism, Professor Richard Keeble, on December 10 in the Jackson lecture theatre.

Both lectures start at 6.15pm.

On October 30, Lincoln-born Dr Maloney, who has been voted press photographer of the year three times, will host his lecture in the EMMTEC auditorium, starting at 6pm.

It is horrendous that This is Lincolnshire would allow Nabila Ramdani to guest lecture...she is known to support violence in France in the name of so-called muslim victims and claims that the Mohamed Mehra (who is responsible for many deaths in the Toulouse killings) is himself a victim of ' alienated immigrant angst'. She seems to think its OK to write about this stuff in the UK as if the UK would condemn France for cracking down on violence...France is a very tolerant country and has for years been held hostage by violent youths and muslim fundamentalists..so how could an intelligent person like Nabila defend these youths and attack France?
