Size 8XL replica shirts have been made available for supporters at Boston United, following a request from a number of supporters.
The club has made 30 of the shirts available so far with a chest size measuring 54 inches.
In total 12 shirt sizes are on offer, ranging from youth extra small to 8XL, with the new larger size asked for by a number of fans.
Boston was crowned 'Fat Capital' of the UK in 2006 with almost one in three people in the town being rated as clinically obese.
Despite the shirts being suitable for the larger fan, the club says it isn't necessarily the size of the fan but the die hard supporters wanting to show the club's colours during the winter.
John Blackwell, General Manager at the club said: "One of the reasons supporters asked for the size is because they put them over jackets and jumpers.
"These shirts are Italian Performance Shirts so sizing is different to English brand shirts, a number of people have returned shirts because they got the wrong size."
Lincolnshire Sports Partnership encourages fitness in the county through sport but acknowledges the needs of larger people need to be met.
Jon Grubb, chairman for Lincolnshire Sports Partnership said: “I don’t think there can be any doubt that the population, generally, is getting larger and clothes are reflecting that trend.
“Boston United has to react to the needs and wishes of the fans and the club should be applauded for doing so.
“But it does demonstrate that there is work to do on improving the health of the county and the LSP will continue to do everything it can to help and, where necessary, lead the process.”
