The "Billy Connolly of marketing" will top a roster of speakers at the region's premiere business building event.

Geoff Ramm will address guests at the Lincolnshire Marketing Expo on Tuesday, October 23.

Bosses will be given advice on the latest ways to grow their business using a variety of techniques.

Mr Ramm, who is known for his entertaining speeches, hopes to inspire firms to try out new ideas with accounts of real life success stories.

The conference, at Lincolnshire Showground's EPIC Centre, is being organised by Wragby-based Admar Support Services Ltd.

Covering every area of marketing, the event will be the biggest of its kind in the East Midlands.

As well as specialist keynote speakers the event will bring together, seminars, networking opportunities and more than 120 trade stands.

People will also be given the opportunity to have a one-to-one session with Mr Ramm.

Managing director Paul Adams said: "The benefits of the event will be two fold.

"Firstly it will show delegates how marketing can help them grow their businesses, especially in these difficult times, and get the best returns on their investments.

"It will also be a chance to create strategic alliances, both with partners and suppliers.

"The opportunity is immense for those people that partake in the expo."

Other speakers include Paula Finch, an experienced business development advisor, Andrew Goode, a director of Blue Dolphin Business Development and Mike Martin of Admar.

Also appearing are Dr Jan Russell-Dexter and Dr Graham Dexter, who are practitioners in Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP).

They will explain how changing the way people interact and communicate with those they live and work with can help them achieve their goals.

The event is being supported by Lincolnshire Media, which produces the Echo.

Publisher Richard Duxbury said: "There will be no better opportunity for businesses to find out the latest, most effective ways of getting their messages to their key audiences.

"The expo is going to provide advice for companies across the diverse range of industries we have here in Lincolnshire as well as provide a platform for our marketing sector to show the region what it really has to offer."

Firms are being invited from across the region to the day of 18 talks and seminars, which will cover three broad themes.

The online marketing area will include topics such as social media, Google AdWords, use of online video and email marketing.

The marketing mix area will give advice on marketing planning, how to write compelling copy and overseas promotion.

A networking area will help delegates hone their networking skills and give them a chance to interact with other guests.

A limited early bird ticket offer is available for £80 per delegate for the day.

Exhibitor stand space can be booked at £250.
