Firefighters freed a Muntjac deer from metal railings in Spilsby Road, Boston, just before midnight last night.

They used hydraulic rescue gear to prise the fence apart and free the animal.

Fire crews extinguished an outhouse fire in Britannia Terrace, Gainsborough, just after midnight, while last night, firefighters were called out to an electricity pole that was sparking off Wood Lane, Bardney at about 8pm.

They cordoned off the area and the electricity board attended.

Strong wind last night caused embers from a controlled bonfire to blow into a brick barn in Langtoft and destroy 10 tonnes of firewood.
