Boston cadet Marcus Horry needs help to buy his own competition shotgun so he can go to the Olympics.

Marcus, 16, is a top shot, but needs his own competition-standard firearm.

Last June he was asked to shoot in the National Cadet Clay Target competition where he had four weekends' training prior to the competition with a borrowed shotgun. He was up against the best cadets from all over the UK.

Much of the opposition had years of experience shooting clay pigeons but Marcus was a complete novice. The three-day competition in Cambridge ended with him beating all 175 cadets with the highest combined score.

Marcus is currently having lessons from the England shooting team management.

He needs his own shotgun which will allow him to train independently and enter vital competitions to get him to the Olympic stages. Any additional money will help buy cartridges, further lessons and competition fees.
