Boston residents have been praised by police for the way they dealt with flooding caused by storms.

Lincolnshire Police Chief Inspector Paul Timmins took to Twitter to praise the community.

He said: "To the Boston community, thank you for your support and assistance over the past 24 hours.

"Very difficult time for the town but you prevailed."
