Catch Finnish folk act on first UK tour

Fiddle septet Frigg from Finland are tuning up for their visit to Lincolnshire on Friday (February 1) on their first tour of the UK.

Named after the Norse goddess of love and fertility, this freewheeling group have created their own style of music – Nordgrass, fusing Nordic folk and American bluegrass.

With five successful albums and a folk music Album of the Year nomination, Frigg draw first and foremost on the folk heritage.

Fjord and forest-imbued Nordic tunes are peppered with infusions of world music styles making for a distinctive sound.
