Young people are taking part in a charity horse-riding event this weekend to raise money for the children's ward at Boston Pilgrim Hospital.

The equestrian fundraiser is being held this Sunday, May 26, the town's Savannah Equestrian Centre.

All the children at the event will be able to take part in horse-riding and grooming as well as gymkhana games.

It will be followed by a light lunch and a raffle to win a round of golf for two people at the Boston Golf Club and many other prizes.

Every participant will be presented with a thank-you certificate.

Pilgrim Hospital junior doctor Omar Nasher is the event organiser.

"We are extremely grateful to Savannah Equestrian Centre for hosting this event and to ON24 Web Design and The Mill restaurant for their valuable contribution to help benefit our children's ward," he said.

"All the donations we receive make such a huge difference to the care we can provide and help to improve the overall hospital experience of the children we see."

The event will take place between 10am and 4pm. Tickets cost £12 on the day or £10 in advance.
