A chimney stack has blown over and crashed through the roof of a bakery in Donington.

Staff at Jessops in the Market Place heard a loud bang at around 1.30pm today.

Emergency services have been dealing with the incident and are still on the scene.

No one is believed to have been hurt.

Elaine Allgood, Manageress at the bakery, said: "We were just working as usual and then we heard a loud bang upstairs.

"I thought there was an earthquake it was really scary.

"We're just pleased no one has been hurt."

The chimney was on the neighbouring terrace property which is said to be badly damaged.

Staff have been advised not to open the shop tomorrow.
