Although results have not been going for us of late, nobody should doubt the togetherness of the players and the staff.

You only needed to look at Vadaine Oliver's celebration last week to see that we are all focused and determined to drive the club forward.

I cannot fault my players in any shape or form.

They are a terrific bunch not just what they are capable of in terms of football, but as people too.

At Telford recently, the injured players all travelled to support the boys which I think shows a tremendous amount of spirit and affection for their team-mates.

Everybody comes into work with a smile on their face, there is no malice or cliques, it's a terrific dressing room.

They deserve so much more than what they have been getting.

Still, they have not been letting it get to them and training on Monday was absolutely terrific.

Vadaine, in particular, has been coming into work and acting ten feet tall.

As manager that gives me so much delight to see.

There's no question he has a lot of ability and watching him in training has reminded me of a young Les Ferdinand.

He's athletic and he's very physical too.

It takes time for these players to settle in and we have looked after him well.

I have great faith in his ability and he is a smashing kid.

He trains extremely well and that is half of the battle.

He has a terrific attitude as do all the players at this football club.

I think the fans can see and appreciate what they are getting from them in terms of effort.

I am sure the results will follow if we continue to work hard as we are doing both on the pitch and on the training ground.

I think people forget that we are still learning about each other and given the injuries we have had, fielding a consistent side has been difficult.

Also do not forget that we sold our top scorer from last season a week before the season was due to start, so we have had a lot to contend with in a short space of time.

Don't get me wrong, I am as frustrated as the fans are at the lack of wins, but it is not through a lack of effort.

People may say I am using injuries as an excuse, but I am not.

It's realism.

At least players are willing to put their bodies on the line for us which certainly was not the case at times last year.

At least when we do get players back, some of those who do need resting will get that chance.

But there is no way we can do it at this moment at time given how full the treatment table is.

Once we do have everybody back, we certainly have a very good little squad.
