A new store selling designer homeware products will open in Lincoln at the end of this summer.

Home Sense, which is a sister brand to TK Maxx, will move in the former Comet unit off Tritton Road.

The new shop is set to open in August and create up to 50 new jobs in the city.

Work is already underway to refurbish the former Comet unit, which had its last trading day on December 18 2012 and has been unused since.

As part of the TK Maxx family, Home Sense, which first opened its door in 2008 in Poole, Dorset, will sells quality and branded homeware, with discounts of up to 60% less than the original price.

Following the move, it is likely that the homeware items in the TK Maxx at the Valentine Retail Park, will be replaced with more regular stock once Home Sense is open.
