A double-decker bus caught fire on a road near Gainsborough this morning due to a mechanical fault.

The one passenger on board and the driver got off the vehicle and were not hurt  in the incident on the A159 Blyton Road, near Thonock, said Lincolnshire Fire & Rescue.

Firefighters were called out just after 7am today. Diversions were put in place but the road has now been cleared.
