The family of Kevin Lee, who died in a road traffic collision on the A153 at Haltham have paid tribute to a wonderful husband, father and grandfather.

Mr Lee was a self-employed plasterer who moved to Lincolnshire eight years ago from London to be nearer to relatives in Horncastle.

A lifelong Tottenham Hotspur fan, he was well loved in his local community for his friendly sense of humour.

His wife, Paula, said, "He loved a good practical joke and enjoyed winding people up with pranks, but was also very thoughtful and would help anyone out.

"His car was his pride and joy and he was out cleaning it every day, whatever the weather."

As well as Paula, Mr Lee leaves a brother, two daughters and three grandchildren, and was looking forward to the arrival of his fourth grandchild whose birth is due any day.

He and Paula enjoyed travelling abroad, especially to Turkey, where they hoped to retire to in the future.

Mr Lee was killed after the Ford Focus he was driving was involved in a collision with a tanker lorry on the A153, between Horncastle and Coningsby, at around 8am on Monday, June 18.
