A 64-year-old Bracebridge Heath resident has been killed on the A607 Grantham Road.
Emergency services attended the scene after the pedestrian was hit by a Honda Civic car, driven by a 41-year-old Lincoln man.
The collision took place in the vicinity of Tescos and the Co-op shops at around 8:30pm on April 7.
The pedestrian was taken to Lincoln County Hospital with a serious head injury and sadly died early on April 8. The driver of the Honda was not injured.
Police are not able to release the name of the deceased man at this point as we are still ensuring that his family and friends are aware.
Collision Investigator Nigel Gasgoine of the Collision Investigation Team is appealing for witnesses to the incident or anyone who saw the Honda on the road prior to it to contact him via the Collision Witness Hotline 01522 558855.
This is the sixth fatality on the roads of Lincolnshire in 2014 compared with 12 over the similar period in 2013.
