A major clothing retailer is to open in Lincoln, creating 15 jobs.
A Gap Outlet store will open its doors at St Marks Shopping Centre.
The company has signed a ten-year deal to occupy 8,665sq ft of the former M&Co unit.
It follows news that children's toy chain The Entertainer is moving into the other part of the unit.
Gap Outlets sell end-of-line and past season clothing at discount prices.
A company spokesman said: "We think Lincoln is a great fit for Gap Outlet. We look at a number of factors when deciding when and where to open new stores – including our existing store base, market demographics and sales potential of a particular market."
The nearest Gap Outlet store to Lincoln is in Doncaster.
The 15 jobs being created will be a mixture of full and part-time positions.
Cormac Hamilton, St Marks Shopping Centre manager, is delighted with the news.
He said: "We are very pleased that two such big high street names have chosen to come to St Marks and we're expecting the two shops to open soon.
"We are especially delighted that both Gap Outlet and The Entertainer have decided to take 10-year leases, which is a real vote of confidence to Lincoln in general as well as St Marks.
"Their arrival means that St Marks is fully let and heralds an ever better, wider choice for our shoppers."
Simon Beardsley, chief executive of Lincolnshire Chamber of Commerce, was delighted with the news that Gap was following The Entertainer and coming to the city.
"It is obviously positive news at a time when there is still economic uncertainty.
"It is good to see an international retailer is confident in Lincoln as a new base and a good location for retail.
"It is always great news to hear of new jobs being created, especially when you see the jobless statistics that are often quoted.
"The fact that St Marks is now fully let speaks volumes for the city and is not only good for them but also for shoppers as it gives Lincoln a better feel."
