Following on from the success of the British Film season at The Collection in Lincoln, which has been running since the autumn, the venue has decided to launch two new film seasons in the 2013.

The Lincolnshire Connection is currently ongoing to May 6 and all films have a county theme. All movies are screened free of charge and will be shown on Monday afternoons at 2pm (except during school holidays).

The next film in this collection will be Memphis Belle (1990, 107 min) on Monday, January 14, as the ground sequences were filmed at RAF Binbrook, near Brookenby, in Lincolnshire.

There will also be a short season of musicals to tie in with Les Miserables being released in cinema's nationwide. Films will include Rock of Ages, Cabaret, Moulin Rouge, Phantom of The Opera, Chicago and Evita.

All films these will be screened free of charge as well, and shown on Thursday evenings at 7pm starting January 31.
