A cheeky calendar featuring cast and crew from Grantham Dramatic Society baring all is now on sale.
When the society chose to stage a production of Calendar Girls at the Guildhall Arts Centre theatre next month it decided to follow in the footsteps of the play's characters and bring out its own calendar to raise £3,000 for St Barnabas Hospice, Grantham.
Helen Pack, chairman of Grantham Dramatic Society, said: "We believe we're the only group in Lincolnshire to be doing a calendar alongside the play.
"It is a great souvenir of the show, and will make a fantastic Christmas gift!
"We're sure you'll agree the results show the real beauty and sense of humour of Grantham folk.
"A year of lovely ladies for just £6 – it's great value and will make a real difference to local people with life-limiting illnesses and their families."
Twelve local businesses - Westgate Crafts, Café Leo, Bright and Beautiful home care, LRS Lincs ground care and quad bikes, James A Graham decorating, The Tattoo Shop, Fox Music, Specsavers Grantham, Hood Parkes and Co, Claptons landscaping, Lincolnshire First Aid and Ocean's Health & Fitness - have paid £60 each to sponsor a month in the calendar.
They will be thanked in the production programme and on the society's website.
The calendar, which features images by Phil Lockwood of LuSam Photography, is available from Café Leo, Grantham's St Barnabas Hospice and hospice shops in Grantham and Sleaford, and Grantham Dramatic Society's website. They will also be on sale at performances of Calendar Girls.
The show tells the true story of a Yorkshire Women's Institute which decides to produce a nude calendar to raise money for their local hospital after one of their husbands dies of leukaemia.
Calendar Girls is on at the Guildhall Arts Centre theatre from November 7th to 10th to book tickets call 01476 406158. For more information about the show and calendar visit www.granthamdramaticsociety.co.uk.
