Police have detained two men who were seen taking part in illegal Hare Coursing this afternoon at North Kyme Fen.

They also seized a car and a dog in relation to the incident and were supported by the Police Air Ambulance and the public.

The vehicle had been detained earlier today but the men had escaped the scene on foot in the Decoy Farm Area.

Supt Shaun West at Lincolnshire Police said that, as usual, the offenders were not from Lincolnshire and were visitors to the area.

He added that there had been a great response from the local community.

I fear you are right. Whatever sentences they are given will not be enough to discourage them from this barbaric practice. I do however like the idea about turning a pack of savage dogs on these individuals, and perhaps throw in a few "beaters" with big sticks for good measure. Scumbags they are.

Seeing as they love watching dogs chasing to kill, think how thrilling would it be for them if the dogs were chasing them to kill.

I bet these bullies just get let off with a warning, so that they can carry on getting perverse pleasure from watching live animals being torn limb from limb elsewhere.
