Lincoln City has appointed David Parman and David Featherstone as co-Vice Chairmen at the club.

The appointment was made at last week's monthly board meeting, with both directors quick to pledge their support to Chairman Bob Dorrian.

It is hoped the appointments will help spread the workload and take some of the pressure off the Chairman.

Mr Featherstone said: "Having supported the Imps for 44 years and been a director for coming up to 12 months now, I am delighted to become co-Vice Chairman.

"The Club finds itself in its lowest position for a long while and as a supporter and director I feel that this is the opportunity to help the Club make its way back to the Football League - a position where the facilities, stadium and supporter base deserve.

"The Board and Chairman in particular has taken a lot of criticism recently and it is only when you are involved on a day-to-day basis, like I am, that you see how hard everyone at the Club works.

"I am delighted to accept this role."

Mr Parman said: "Since joining the Board, and despite the best efforts of some, 'everyone' at the football club has remained focused on the job in hand and has worked extremely hard to re-establish the critical foundations that will underpin our challenge of taking the Club forward over the coming seasons.

"We have a very positive, committed and united board here at Lincoln City Football Club and I am very much looking forward to working alongside David Featherstone in supporting our Chairman Bob Dorrian over the coming seasons. Up the Imps!"

Hi eatmygoal I've just noticed your 1st post has been removed and since I last looked in this morning someone has gone down the list issuing Red ratings on most posts. Me also have no idea what these cryptic messages refer to and probably a good job if I don't know.

If everything that is communicated between directors etc. within the club is this cryptic, then no flipping wonder the club is in such a mess!

When the seagulls follow the trawler?

Sorry to all for being cryptic, but one other thing I forgot. Bob, I know you think they have nearly got their ducks in a row, but some of them might turn out to be vultures. Also, be careful of the 'ostrich'. When he takes his head out of the sand, you can't be certain which way it will turn. Hope this is useful.

Interesting to see my post was removed. Sorry, can't explain sfocata, but Bob obviously saw the coded message post and understands significance. Not all is what it seems.

Hi eatmygoal As you can see I was having trouble posting. That's a good point you make about sharing the load and the blame After Saturdays decent performance it looks like we played well to get a draw lastnight, even though I didn't go or listen to the game I'm just going on the result

He is probably references The Smiths' song Sfocata. Sweepclean, I have no idea on the money front, I presume not. But it will be good to share the work load and take Bob out of the usual sightline of the snipers. People tend to struggle with more than one person to make as a scapegoat which is why we have rants against "the board".

ChickenBob - who's the 'boy from Birkenhead', and what's the significance of that?
