UPDATE: After a delayed start due to the weather, the Supersport race will start at 2pm over four laps.

Guy Martin, Gary Johnson and Ivan Lintin are hoping to lead the charge for Lincolnshire in the first race of the day at the Isle of Man TT today.

The trio are due to be battling it out in the first Superport race of the TT. However, at just after 7am clerk of the course Gary Thompson announced there would be a delay to the start of Monday’s racing.

Wet roads and fog on the mountain section forced the organisers to leave the roads open until 12 noon.

Isle of Man Government meteorologists have predicted a "cloudy but mostly dry" day with "extensive hill fog and coastal mist, and an odd light shower is possible."

They added that "hill fog will slowly lift but it may linger over the hill tops."

A further announcement on the day's schedule is expected at 12 noon. Roads remain open around the course this morning.

If racing is given the go ahead, Martin (Tyco Suzuki) will be fourth to go, Johnson (Triumph Smiths) seventh, while Lintin will start 21st on his Taylor Lindsey Honda.

They are scheduled to race four laps of the course.
