HEAVY rain on Friday night rendered several grounds unfit for football as expected on Saturday, canceling several fixtures.

In the Under-8 League, Babworth had a comfortable 7-0 away win at Walesby with K. Jackson scoring four goals.

M. Sutton-Bicknell, A. Stevenson and M. Tomlinson scored the other goals for Babworth.

Ordsall Rangers' indifferent form continued as this week they had a successful 6-0 win over Blyton with two goals each for C. Poole, A Bevan and K. Simpson.

Forrest Rangers had a close 3-1 win over the much-improving Midtown United.

Retford United are in good form and had a 4-3 home win against Blyth with H. Rodgers (2), B. Mansel and T. Steel scoring for Retford United.

Only one game survived in the Under-9 League and this saw Misterton defeat Blyth 3-2 in a very close game.

M. Horton (2) and W. Lovett were the Misterton scorers with A. McKinnel and C. Hewitt scoring for Blyth.

In the Under-10 League Ordsall Lions have a five-points lead at the top of the table after they defeated Marshalls 4-2 with a hat-trick from J. Smith and 1 goal from C. Dixon.

Ordsall Rangers has a 3-0 home win against Harworth to keep Rangers second in the league. Wilson, Mills and Toulson were the Ordsall Rangers scorers.

Retford United move up to equal third place with GT All Stars with their impressive 17-0 home win over Midtown.

Fifteen goals were shared in the Babworth v GT Hawks game. It is not very often an away team can score six goals and still end up losing the game. GT Hawks did just that, losing the game 9-6 to Babworth Rovers.
