Lincoln City striker Waide Fairhurst has joined Skrill Premier rivals Macclesfield Town on a one-month loan deal.

Fairhurst, who rejoins the club he signed from in the summer, has scored two goals this season, both against Forest Green Rovers at Sincil Bank.

He was involved in a behind closed doors friendly against Doncaster Rovers today.

The Imps drew 1-1 with Donny, with their goal coming from Mitch Austin.

"Hopefully he can go to Macclesfield and get some games.”

How do we know that Macclesfield will give him full games, as previous comments is it GS's master plan to get rid of the good players and then play his favourites. Only hope Cambridge don't recall Sam-Yorke or Wright and Dixon will be back in the line up. Tough games coming up 4 at home and Hyde away, hopefully should pick up 10-15 Pts. UTI.

Can anyone remember if it was Fairhurst who said in a radio interview that we had players who liked to play football but played long ball because that's what the boss wanted? With 2 goals on so few minutes on the pitch, he may be one of our most successful strikers! Can Macc take Simmo back?

He's not necessarily getting rid, just sending him out on loan to pick up match fitness. Works for me as gives Fairhurst a chance to prove GS wrong rather than rumble around on the subs bench

If I didn't know better, I would say Lincoln has been twinned with Macclesfield! :-))
