Lincoln College Students Meet their Sporting Hero

On the 12th December two Sports students from the Lincoln College were lucky enough to meet Michael Vaughan.


The former England Cricket Team Captain came to Lincoln to give a talk at the University which the students from the college were invited to attend.


21 year old Robert Hargreaves, who played for Louth cricket club and 17 year old Caleb Pipes-Goulsbra, who currently plays for Cherry Willingham Cricket Club both enjoy playing the game and have a keen interest in the performance of the England Cricket Team.


 Both Robert and Caleb were very interested to find out about the professional side of the game as well as hearing about the life of a former Test Cricket Captain.


Robert described the Cricket hero as being "Really nice, very polite and easy to talk to. He took time to talk to people like me."


He also said that Michael have him some advice for the future, telling him to keep knuckling down and working hard.


Robert said that he felt privileged to have been able to meet the cricketing legend.


Caleb also said that he felt incredibly privileged to have had the opportunity to meet an individual with the cricketing experience of Michael Vaughan. He added that he thought the talk was excellent and that he gave him the inspiration to do the best he can.
