Early figures show more than 2,500 tickets were bought in the first 84 hours of Lincoln's Lucy Tower multi-storey car park re-opening.
The popular facility was partially opened at midday on Thursday, December 5 with 400 spaces available.
The City of Lincoln Council car park had been closed since March for essential maintenance.
Some 2,581 tickets were bought by customers since the opening time through to midnight on Sunday.
Rod Williamson, City Services Team Leader at the city council, said: “These figures show just how popular Lucy Tower car park is.
"On Saturday, the site was operating at just under its capacity, which is great news.
“We can now look to a bright future for the car park and look forward to seeing it serve the city for many years to come.
“As far as the public are concerned it’s always been a case of ‘I love Lucy’ when parking in Lincoln.”
Only the third floor of Lucy Tower car park and toilets remain closed to the public at the moment.
It is hoped the site will be fully back in use in the early part of next year.
