Tickets for Lincoln Drill Hall's pantomime have been in such high demand that the show has now been extended by six additional performances.

This year's production of Peter Pan will now run from December 13 to January 5.

Jamie Marcus Productions is behind the show and it promises to entertain audiences with a few tricks such as flying characters and a clever transition from London to Neverland.

A mix of local and national talent will be on display with local actor, Chris Hayes cast as The Dame, television presenter, Alistair Divall playing Captain Hook and London actor, Robert Rooney starring as Peter Pan.

Marketing Manager, Gavin Street said: "The economic climate has hit theatre but people seem to stick to the tradition of coming to the panto even if it is the one time they come all year.

"People say you're only as good as your last show and Snow White went down very well last year with people wanting to book for this year there and then, before the show was announced.

"Feel good shows are doing really well in theatre at the minute, people seem to want to go out and let their hair down and we're happy to be a part of that and we always try to keep things fresh and there will be a few things to surprise people this year."

Tickets are £14.50 for adults, £10.50 for concessions and family tickets are available at £44 for two adults and 2 children.
