Lincolnshire Bombers Roller Girls claimed the Great Northern Showdown title recently.

Using a mixed team of girls with different levels of experience, the Girls took part in a tournament containing seven other squads from the north of the country.

The Girls played three, 30-minute games and benefited from work with top American coach Mo Sanders and weekly sessions with Muay Thai boxing trainer Steve Johns, from NK Boxing Academy.

The team's forthcoming fixtures include an away game on March 11 against Manchester's team 'Rainy City' and May 21 against Royal Winsor.

The team will also be holding a Christmas Extravaganza at the George Stevenson Pavilion, Newark Showground, on December 18 (2pm to late) where they will host a variety of teams from all over the country in a mixed game.

There will also be stalls, raffle and entertainment. Tickets for this are £10.50 and can be bought from www.lincolnshire-bombers.com

Money raised from the raffle will be donated to Macmillan Cancer support.
