Lincolnshire Police will feature on a further two series of Channel 5 programme Police Interceptors.
Filmed and produced by specialist factual independent TV production company, Raw Cut, the show follows the specially trained officers in action as they tackle the region’s most difficult-to-catch criminals and has proved to be one of the channel’s most successful shows.
Lincolnshire was first chosen as the setting for the filming of both series six and seven of the hit show, taking a fresh look at the way the elite police units work out in the field during intense operations.
Filming for the eighth series is set to begin later this year.
The current series features Lincolnshire’s Road Policing Unit and the Police Dog Unit.
Steve Warr, Raw Cut Company Director, said of the regional force: “Working with Lincolnshire's elite units gives us a unique view of real crimes in progress and the incredibly tough and dangerous job the officers carry out on a daily basis.
"We’re excited to be out in the field with the force again for an action-packed eighth series and it’s a great opportunity for us to showcase the brilliant work the Lincolnshire police are doing in the community.”
Series six of Police Interceptors is currently airing on Channel 5 Monday nights at 8:00pm.
