Lincolnshire Olympians will be among the thick of the action later today.
At 4pm, Boston-born duo Crista Cullen and Hannah MacLeod and Doddington's Georgie Twigg will be representing Great Britain against South Africa in the women's hockey at the Riverbank Arena.
Then at 7.45pm, Lincoln Ladies captain Casey Stoney will be leading Team GB out against Brazil at Wembley in the women's football.
In the rowing earlier in the day, the women's eight, which includes Lincoln's Emily Taylor as a reserve, made it through to final which will be held on Thursday.
Yesterday evening, Alford's Glenn Kirkham was part of the Great Britain men's hockey team which got off to a winning start as they thrashed Argentina 4-1 at the Riverbank Arena.
