A waste lorry has crashed into a low bridge in Grantham and become wedged.
The HGV collided with the structure on Harlaxton Road at around 11.30am today.
No injuries were reported but the road is currently closed and drivers are asked to seek alternative routes into and out of town.
A recovery vehicle is currently en route to the site to retrieve the damaged truck.
Lincolnshire Police confirmed that similar incidents have occurred before at the East Coast Main Line bridge.
East Coast Trains released a Twitter statement informing travellers that services would be delayed due to the incident.
