Lincolnshire Police have released CCTV images of a man and woman who may be able to help catch a group of Louth bag thieves.

On Friday, February 1, a number of purses were stolen from handbags of shoppers in Louth town centre.

The thefts occurred in different shops in the town and cash was later withdrawn from ATMs using the stolen bank cards.

Police are trying to trace a couple who were in Louth that day. The couple are described as being of Asian appearance, and in their 30s.

The man was wearing a black coat, jeans, black shoes and was carrying a blue bag.

The female had dark hair in a pony tail, and was wearing a black jacket with cream fur collar, leopard print leggings and long boots.

Anyone with information should contact PC Thomas Harrison by dialling 101 and quoting the incident number. Report crimes anonymously by contacting Crimestoppers on  0800 555 111.

Police are reminding the public of the importance of not keeping PIN numbers alongside bank cards in purses and wallets.
