A man is due to appear in court this morning charged with possessing an unlicensed firearm.
In the early hours of yesterday morning specialist police firearms officers, dog teams and Proactive Team officers executed a search warrant on land near Saxilby.
Two firearms were recovered during the search.
Vitalijs Trubacs, of Drinsey Nook, has been arrested by police, and charged with an offence of possession of a firearm without a certificate.
The 58-year-old was remanded in custody to appear at Lincoln Magistrates' Court this morning.
Ch Insp Lee Pache said: “Regardless of the outcome of now active criminal proceedings, this was a safely executed, highly professional firearms operation aimed at ensuring community safety in Lincolnshire and I would like to thank my staff for the efforts.”
