A Lincolnshire allotment keeper believes he may have spotted a UFO in the skies above the county.

Images caught on hunting cameras installed by Gary Ingham to identify people breaking into sheds and stealing chickens show a strange light in the sky.

The trail of light was caught above the allotments on Canwick Hill in Lincoln.

They have left Mr Ingham asking: "Is it a plane or a UFO?"

Thanks Nuno1977 - kind offer but I think I'll give it a miss.

The cynic in me questions why a camera set to identify people breaking into sheds and stealing chickens seems to be set up in a way that doesn't facilitate that but does get a great view of the sky.

Of course it is a UFO! The acronym, as we know, stands for Unidentified, Flying Object. That being the case; this person could not identify it - thereby meeting the first part of the term. It appears to be flying (the second part) and it appears to have mass, and therefore may be described as an object. Where's the problem? UFO does not mean little green men from an alien world, it is just an unidentified flying object, whose status will change immediately someone does identify it. All UFOs are such to the initial observer, even if the rest of the world knows full well what it is that the observer has seen.

Not a UFO, but rather an insect that was photographed with flash close to the camera. This is effect is due to the process of shutter speed and the camera bug that gives this effect. For more information contact me. I am a researcher of the phenomenon and have videos with real unidentified flying objects in the area of Lincoln. nunospalding@gmail.com
