A 32-year-old man has been found dead this morning in an overturned car which crashed into a water-filled dyke.
It happened at Anton's Dyke near Boston.
Leagate Road was immediately closed at 8am today after reports that a car had been seen upside down in a roadside ditch.
"Sadly, we can confirm that the body of a 32-year-old local man was discovered inside the vehicle," Lincolnshire Policer said in a statement.
"This fatality brings to seven the number killed on Lincolnshire's roads this year, compared to 12 at the same point in 2013.
"Leagate Road at Anton's Gowt remains closed whilst emergency services deal with the incident."
