Gainsborough Trinity's new boy Mark Jones made his debut for the club as they eased to a 3-0 win at Workington in the Blue Square Bet North last night.

Jones pulled on a Blues shirt for the first time after his much talked about move from county rivals Boston, but it was midfielder Simon Russell who put Trinity into the lead on 15 minutes.

Paul Connor extended the lead on 68 minutes and then Jamie Yates completed the scoring on 76 minutes.

The result leaves the Blues fourth in the table.

The Northolme side also discovered who they would face in the quarter-final of the FA Trophy when Barrow beat Gateshead 3-2 last night.

Barrow will travel to Lincolnshire for the clash next Tuesday.

The winner of that tie will go onto face Wrexham over two legs and battle it for a place in the Wembley final.
