A new contemporary hair salon run by a mother and daughter team has opened in Lincoln.
Annette and Aimie Dickens have created seven jobs with the launch of Hair 100 Lincoln.
The salon is in the vibrant Burton Road shopping quarter.
It is open to both men and women and offers a range of hair styling and treatments.
Annette Dickens, who is the owner and manager, said the business was already proving popular with customers.
"Opening our own salon is a dream we've both had for some time," she said.
"At last it's happened and we've been overwhelmed by the response we've had from old and new clients."
Aimie will be the main stylist at the salon, using a decade's experience in the industry.
The pair are welcoming applications for more experienced stylists and a nail technician because of the early popularity of their services.
Annette explained the duo had made sure they created the right atmosphere in the salon.
"Before opening we spent a month refitting the premises to a high standard so that our clients can enjoy a relaxed and comfortable experience," she said.
It is one of a number of new salons that have opened in Lincolnshire in recent months.
Diva Beauty opened this autumn in the Birchwood area of Lincoln in an expansion of an existing hair dressing business.
Lyn Hall, who has two decades of experience running her own company, made the move with the help of agents Hodgson Elkington.
Crown and Glory Hair Studio also opened in Sleaford over the summer.
Headed by director Tom Moor, the business is operating from premises in the centre of the town.
Cream Hairstyling was launched in Lincoln's Outer Circle Road in February.
The unit was let through chartered surveyors Banks Long & Co.
Hair 100 Lincoln sells a variety of products.
Brands available include Wella, RedKen, GHD and Get Glam by Nicky.
The business is open Tuesday to Saturday. It is also open late on Thursday evenings.
The salon welcomed its first customers in October.
