BUSINESSES in Gainsborough area being invited to have their say on the future of the town centre at a special event next week.

The Gainsborough Town Partnership's annual meeting will include two hour-long workshops devoted to a review of the Portas Pilot submission.

After the town was unsuccessful in the first bid for the regeneration programme, it is committed to landing the cash at the second attempt.

The meeting and workshops are taking place between 4pm and 5pm, then again from 6pm to 7pm, in the Funktion Room of The Sun Hotel in North Street on Wednesday, June 27.

"We'd really like all potential members to attend one of the two sessions as we very much want to have their views," said Gainsborough town Centre manager David Hawkins.

"We will be talking about proposed membership options and future priorities of the Town Partnership.

"This will be a great opportunity for your ideas and suggestions to be brought out to take forward."

For more information call Mr Hawkins on (01427) 811573.
