The Old Palace hotel in Lincoln has been included in an international guide, featuring the world's best luxury, boutique and country house hotels.
Featuring in the Conde Nast Johansens guide and website, the local hotel stands alongside venues spanning over 65 countries.
The George of Stamford will also represent Lincolnshire in the guide for its traditional charm of an English coaching inn and 900 years of history.
The Old Palace stood out to inspectors thanks to its hidden location close to the Cathedral and overlooking the city.

Formerly home to the Bishops of Lincoln, The Old Palace is in the heart of the city’s Cathedral Quarter and is still owned by the Diocese.
As well as 16 bedrooms in the main building, The Old Palace recently converted an adjacent former Victorian church, which now houses an additional 16 bedrooms.
