Employers are being encouraged to offer more opportunities to people with learning disabilities.

The Linkage Community Trust is touring the county to explain how it can support firms during work placements.

During the roadshow, the charity's service users will be offering businesses up to two hours' work to demonstrate their abilities.

The Lincolnshire organisation will be in Lincoln's Waterside shopping centre on Thursday, June 21.

It is hoped companies will take on more people for work experience placements or full-time jobs. The campaign coincides with Learning Disability Week 2012, which runs until Sunday, June 24.

The trust already works with a range of companies, including Tesco.
