Police say there was "some slight disorder" after Lincoln City's FA Cup second round tie with Mansfield, which ended in a 3-3 draw.

Superintendent David Lynch said nearly all of the 1,207 Mansfield supporters who visited Lincoln were well behaved.

"There was some slight disorder in the southern part of the High Street that lasted for 15 to 20 seconds," he said.

"We are working with our colleagues in Nottinghanshire Police to pursue football banning orders against anyone who was involved.

I was at the game and I saw lots of unpleasant shouting, out-of-control excitement and running about in the away section. When will this country bring back corporal punishment? After the Luton shenanigans, and then the rowdy miners from Mansfield, we've now got the Liverpudlians to look forward to. Is this a return to the dark days of the 1970s with hoodlums running amok?
