The war medals found in Morrisons

Comments (1)

Police are trying to trace the owner of five war medals found in Grantham Morrisons' store.

A police spokesman said: "The medals were found by a member of the public on the floor in Morrisons on January 6.

"The store handed them in to the police, but so far no on has claimed them.

"We are appealing for the owner of these medals to come forward."

The owner, or anyone with any information about who the medals belong to, should contact Grantham Police Station Town Enquiry Office on the non-emergency 101 telephone number.

    E. C. Snaith, Cranwell These are not the medals (albeit very similar - 4 out of 5) which you recently court-mounted for a SNCO at Waddo (no clasp on Africa Star and F&G Star, not Italy Star - Also non-level medals, you have done a much better job on my Grandad's than this photo, Thank you) Speedframe, Lincoln See above. And Yes, my Dad (aged 65) did cry when he received his Father's medals framed as a Xmas Present. Thank You for such a quick and excellent service.
