A Boston resident with no contents insurance has been left "devastated" after her home was badly damaged by last nights flood.

Lisa Chitauro who lives in Norfolk Street stayed upstairs with her two daughters and dog Betty while flood water swept into her home.

She said: "I'm so upset I can't believe this has happened. All the carpets are ruined and some furniture.

"It was terrifying. We stayed upstairs while it was bad - the water came half way up the radiators. Everything out in the back garden was just bobbing around."

this is my house and that is my mum you are talking about! the dog was free as it was homeless, as was our cat, so why are we getting slated for taking in a helpless animal? also, my mum is a single mum and has been for my whole life, she works in one of the hardest jobs on minimum wage, she doesnt drink, go on holidays (either in or out the country!), go out, or buy herself any new clothes.. and she STILL cannot afford insurance! so surely that is proof that insurance is way too expensive? all of her money either goes on buying me and my sister necessities or on this house which she has worked tirelessly for to get right for 18 years and this has devastated all of us, so 'vibroguy' stop making digs, its not the time when people are upset and in a bad place is it? you just look like a heartless pig.
