Sam Lowes is close to unveiling his plans for 2013 as the race for his signature hots up.
The World Supersport ace is in the frame for a ride in MotoGP next year with the Paul Bird Motorsport squad, which is expanding to a two-man team.
He faces competition for the ride from reigning British Superbike champion Tommy Hill and current BSB leader Shane Byrne.
Lowes is also believed to have options in the World Superbike and Moto2 paddocks, possibly with current team, the Louth-based Bogdanka PTR outfit.
"I'd like to know what I'm doing next year before the last round of the season," said the former North Kesteven School pupil.
Meanwhile, Lowes heads to Magny-Cours for the final round of World Supersport this weekend still in contention for third spot.
The 22-year-old is currently eight points behind third-placed man Fabien Foret, but said: "This season was very good at some points and not so good in others.
"For me the aim is always to be a champion so I'm not thinking at all about if I finish third or fourth overall.
"All I want is to win the last race of the season."
