It's been over six months now since some of the Shutter Chimps first travelled to the Peak District for an overnight photoshoot, and we weren't to be disappointed once again. The trek up to Winhill could have been worse and we set up camp in a discreet spot nearby before heading to the very top of Winhill Pike for the sunset.
Winhill stands 463 metres above sea level and provides an amazing view of the Peak District in all directions. Once set up much photography based tomfoolery commenced. Some images were staged and others were just caught by change. Once we were happy we'd got everything we could, we headed back to our camp and set our alarms for just before Sunrise.
The morning came quickly and the trek back up to the top at 5:00am was a bit of a lung buster. Initially it seemed that we would be disappointed, but the Sun eventually broke through between the clouds just long enough for some half decent shots. All in all yet another overnight trip had been a success; roll on next time!
