THIS year’s Swaton Vintage Show and World Egg Throwing Championships have been hailed a success.
Hundreds of people attended the show and the championships that run alongside each other.
The event is held to raise money for charity but the total amount raised is not yet known.
The day features displays of more than 400 vintage and classic cars, tractors, motorbikes, commercial vehicles, stationary engines and speciality machines.
There was also a parade of vehicles, craft tent, trade stands and exhibitions, children's games and rides, a medieval jousting skills display and chain-saw sculpting.
Spokesman Andy Dunlop said: “We had a great crowd which was fantastic.
“We also had the largest ever foreign contingent at the World Egg championships.
“A wonderful sunny day with a fresh easterly wind. A large crowd gathered to watch top tossers from around the globe descend upon Swaton for the 2012 World Egg Throwing Championships.”
Russian Egg Roulette winner was England’s Jerry Cullen of Swineshead.
