9am: A crash is causing delays on the A46 between Lincoln and Newark. More to follow.
UPDATE: 8.10am Lincolnshire Police spokesman Dick Holmes said that the Grantham incident was a crash involving a 44-tonne heavy goods vehicle.
It happened at just before 5.30am when the loaded articulated Scania, owned by a Scottish-based company, left the road and went into a ditch.
The driver escaped injury, but recovery of the lorry and its load is expected to take most of Wednesday morning.
A crash on a main road in Grantham is causing delays this morning.
Police are directing traffic at the Londonthorpe Lane junction with Five Gates Lane junction, where the road is closed in both directions.
The crash happened at 5.45am.
Early mist, fog and below-zero temperatures are also causing problems for drivers on Lincolnshire's roads network this morning.
Meanwhile, there are roadworks across the county which will continue to cause congestion.
Combined gas and water mains work mean there are temporary traffic lights on the A151 Raymond Mays Way in Bourne at the B1193 West Road junction.
There are also temporary traffic lights on A157 in Withern near Louth near the Gold Lane junction.
The temporary lights remain on the B1003 Tritton Road in Lincoln at the Moorland Avenue junction, where delays are expected.
And the continuing roadworks on Whisby Road at North Hykeham are affecting traffic travelling in both directions at the Station Road junction.
Whisby Road in Lincoln is still closed eastbound between the Teal Park roundabout junction and the Station Road junction because of major roadworks and junction improvements. Diversion are in operation.
