Tina May, one of the most expressive and technically gifted female jazz singers will, together with the Frank Harrison Trio, be performing at the Lincoln Drill Hall on Friday 23 November.
Her excellent pitch and diction helps polish her interpretations of well known tunes as well as some lesser known gems. Tina's introduction to jazz started during her university days in Cardiff and Paris when she also developed her theatrical bent for comedy reviews, performing with Rory Bremner. Tina however, concentrated on her musical aspirations and singing jazz for a living. She has worked with the cream of British jazz musicians, recorded extensively, broadcast regularly and won many awards. She is a delightful entertainer who quickly develops a close rapport with her audience.
Tina May will have the backing of the excellent Frank Harrison Trio, Frank Harrison piano, Stephen Keogh drums and Jeremy Brown, double bass.
Brought to the Drill Hall by Lincoln's NewJazz5 tickets are £14, Concs £12, Students £7 Lincoln Drill Hall, Freeschool Lane, Lincoln LN2 1EY.
