A couple who called at a house in Gainsborough asking to use the toilet stole a valuable camera.

Lincolnshire Police issued a new bogus callers warning after the pair struck at a house in South Parade, in the uphill area of the town.

It happened at 1.30pm yesterday, Tuesday, December 10.

"A distraction burglary occurred in the area of South Parade in Gainsborough, where a male and female have attended an address asking to use the toilet and for a drink of water," a Lincolnshire Police spokesman said.

"When the victim was distracted the offenders have stolen a camera then left the address."
